Violet Shadow Blue Hydrangeas - Flower Paintings by Nancy Medina

Violet Shadow Blue Hydrangeas is the newest daily painting in Flower Mound Studio, and I think I've finally established a regular work schedule for this new job of mine as a full-time artist. I wake up around 8 am, do housework, chores, gym, and take care of the puggies, then start work in the studio by 11 am, and work until 11 pm or midnight, depending on how much coffee or chocolate I've had that day. Today I made the exciting discovery that Hershey's Kisses come in a "Party Size" bag, much larger than those tepid little jumbo bags we had been buying for quite some time. Well, the hubby had been buying, since he is really the only one who should be allowed in the grocery store without adult supervision. Today at the market I browsed flowers, the chip aisle, and then found myself immersed in the chocolate selections. There was a great magazine about container gardens I just had to have, too. I almost bought a bunch of sunflowers, but could not figure out if the price tag proclaiming "Three for $12" meant three STEMS for $12, or three bundles for $12. No way was I going to pay $4 a stem for sunflowers. I mean, what has this world come to? Just the idea makes me need chocolate.
