Violet Halo Hydrangeas by Floral Artist Nancy Medina

Violet Halo Hydrangeas

Oil on Archival Panel

Violet Halo Hydrangeas is one of my small dailies, starring my favorite vase, Big Blue. Big Blue has appeared in multiple paintings, with sunflowers, yellow roses, and white and blue hydrangeas. Next week I'll be creating a new large scale container garden of hydrangeas, with Big Blue playing a starring role. Considering I purchased him from Ebay for less than $15 with shipping, I'd say he has earned his keep in Flower Mound Studio!

Love the flowers; always beautiful. I once had a Chinese Water Dragon and I think for them to stay healthy indoors, they need a heat lamp, foliage, place to hide and sleep, and humidity controlled tank. Of course, maybe it was just a gimmick to get you to spend all the money those vivariums cost!! You'll figure it out. I don't know the dogs will leave him be if he runs loose, though...

How cool Sherry! I wonder how long Chinese Water Dragons live... I think you're right about the accessories. Fortunately, George the Tree Lizard came unencumbered by paraphernalia... ;)
