SOLD ~ Ranunculus and Blue Delphiniums and a San Diego Workshop by Nancy Medina

Ranunculus and Blue Delphiniums

Oil on Archival Panel

Ranunculus and Blue Delphiniums was my class demonstration this morning in San Diego, California, and I cannot imagine very many cities in the US that would have fresh ranunculus in the local flower market in November other than San Diego, can you? It might have something to do with how close we were to the Carlsbad, CA, Flower Fields..!.  Tomorrow we have three large buckets of fresh flowers to choose from, and the last day of my first California workshop will conclude with dinner out on Coronado Island. Tonight we had dinner in an Irish pub downtown around a big fire pit, after a walking tour of some of my favorite Coronado flower cottage gardens. I'll share some photos over the next few days of our big adventures, so stay tuned right here to the art bloggy. Have I mentioned lately how much I love my job?

Fresh ranunculus in November ~ priceless!

What a thrill to teach in a talented group of artists in Southern California!

First time I've seen Ranunculus, though I have heard of it. Beautiful painting, Nancy. Your "theater" look like a room that see lots of art and artists too. The dinner around a fire pit sounds amazing! I think Coronado Island is a place I must see myself one of these days.
