Sweet Home Sunset by Texas Flower Artist Nancy Medina

Sweet Home Sunset by Nancy Medina
Oil on Archival Panel

Sweet Home is the newest painting in Flower Mound Studio, on the eve of New Year's Eve. I've been thinking a lot about those I love today, and the dear friends I have made this year. Networking through art is a beautiful way to connect. I have come to believe that artists by nature tend to be very good people. I've never had a student who did not have the gift and ability to become a great artist. I have never met an artist who did not have a giving nature. Maybe it is the makeup of an artist's soul that they see beauty, and they also have the ability to see beauty in others.

One thing I know for certain, searching for something good, striving to create something beautiful in this world, always leads you to a good place. It creates good energy, it draws blessings, attracts good karma, it fills you with a spark of that light that is so hard to describe in words, but which gives a feeling of peace and happiness. Have a beautiful eve of new year's eve, and thank you so much for being my companion on this journey.

Gros bisous.

Such a beautiful homestead, Nancy. And your words echo my own feelings about blogging and the artists I've "met" along the way. All whom I think would be great friends if we were to meet live.
