Midnight Garden Sunflowers and a Tennessee Workshop by Texas Artist Nancy Medina

Midnight Garden Sunflowers and Daisies
Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas

Midnight Garden was finished at midnight last night, it was one of those late evenings in the studio when the paint just flows and I know without a doubt if I wash the brushes at midpoint and try to return and finish later, I would have lost my momentum. It's been a super busy week, packing up supplies for my first workshop in Tennessee! There are two seats left if you hurry like the dickens and sign up - I've been told we are going to have a super fabulous host making sure we have lunch each day, and at least one dinner party planned for evening activities. Note to Self: Remember to pack something to wear that does not have paint spatters all over it....
But there is more big news flower peeps! I'm announcing the winner of my Paint From Life Challenge in the newsletter tomorrow. I had 24 entries and deciding on a winner was not easy! Be sure to subscribe to my newsletter to find out who won a three day workshop tomorrow. The Challenge: Paint a flower from life, and then paint it again from a photograph, submitting images of both for the contest.  I'll share the winning entry with you, too so stay tuned!

Midnight posing on the porch....
