Wind Blown Poppies and Aspens and a Tennessee Workshop by Texas Flower Artist Nancy Medina

Wind Blown Poppies and Aspens
by Nancy Medina
Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas

Wind Blown Poppies is taking up a big spot in the studio, this evening the sudden and inexplicable urge to paint a big 'ole poppy landscape took hold. I think I needed a nice path to step into and escape the busy pace of my life lately. If I paint them big enough to step into, perhaps one of those cool Twilight Zone portals will open up and I can take a stroll somewhere a mountain breeze will be blowing - won't you join me? This painting is based on a place in Utah that is a little bit of heaven on earth, not only for its beauty, but for the dear friend who lives there. I may not be there physically, but I am there in spirit!

Speaking of traveling to see friends, my Tennessee workshop September 21-23 is almost full, so I hope you'll join me there! Put a little joy in your brush and let's get together and paint fast and loose and make color happen! Read more....
