Summer Patchwork Sunflower by Texas Artist Nancy Medina

Summer Patchwork Sunflower
by Nancy Medina
Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas

Summer Patchwork Sunflower is the newest painting in Flower Mound Studio, and served the most excellent purpose of clearing some of the detritus of the day job from my mind this evening. Usually folding my Viva paper towels into dozens of neat stacks of squares before a painting spree is my zen, but tonight it took an entire sunflower painting before I found that peaceful place. Although in the spirit of full disclosure, half of a Hershey bar ice cold and crispy right out of the fridge also helped. If you've never before experienced an ice cold Hershey bar crispy right out of the fridge, please do drop whatever you are doing, head to the nearest Snack and Grab, and get a few into your fridge asap. You'll thank me for this in a few hours.

Hi Auntie Nancy
Your Summer Patchwork Sunflower is sooo beautiful! I am glad that you head is all cleared out now and that thank goodness you had some cold krispy Hershey Bars on hand.
I think my moms are going to get some so they can try it too.

Lovely patchwork type strokes here, Nancy. A bit of a change and a bit of fun to help drop away the work blahs. That Hershey bar sounds so fab right about now.
