Summer Day Sunflowers and Daisies is a celebration of a perfect Saturday at home today, after weeks of travel and teaching workshops and doing shows (all very happy artsy endeavors). Everyone needs a day to relax with your critters and enjoy cool breezes and sunshine in the back yard, even if one of those critters is demanding you toss her ball by tossing her ball at your knee.

Last weekend Mary Katherine, the owner of The Good Art Company, hosted a pet friendly reception after my art workshop. We got to enjoy the company of some of the cutest critters in town while having Sangria and eating cookies and just talking art. Here is a picture below of two of those cuties, Molly and Morgan, whose mom and dad, Carolyn and Emory, drove all the way from Tennessee for the workshop in the Texas Hill Country. They like to take their babies with them just about everywhere they go, which makes absolute perfect sense to me! I can't imagine any better way to spend time with friends and enjoy art at the same time, can you?

All the artsy ladies! Check out those red daisies in the background!

I just love that blue glass vase and you've painted it so beautifully Nancy! We also take our dogs everywhere with us. We have three...a female Bloodhound, a male Bloodhound, and male Bulldog puppy.
