Fly Away Red Daisy and a Flower Garden Stroll on Coronado Island by Texas Artist Nancy Medina

Fly Away Red Daisy is one of the small demos from my workshop in Fredericksburg, Texas, last weekend. The historic Hill Country Town was full of flowery inspiration, and it's where I landed right after returning from my show in Coronado, CA. I've been earning my frequent flower flyer miles this spring! Now that I'm back in the studio, I wanted to share more photos with you of the second place winning home from the April 2012 Coronado Island Flower Show.

I think this home won second place because the gardens, and the home, are located behind a wall. To see the gardens, you have to park and walk through the front gates (where a little yellow sticky invites flower garden admirers to step inside!). You should have seen Carlos' face when I went strolling through the front gates just like I lived there. Priceless!

I promise the yellow sticky note on the gate invited me right in!

I even met the gardener!

The rabbit chair, with a charming path

A view from the fountain

Every winning home displayed these proudly!

And best of all, the flowers!

Cette douce petite marguerite peinte nous conduit chaleureusement à admirer cette belle bâtisse entouré d'une merveilleux jardin fleurie... J'adore le parterre de digitales...
Gros bisous
