Spring Fever is the newest container garden in the studio. I bet you wondered if the pugs and I had dropped off the face of the earth there for a few days, since I have not posted here in almost a week! We've been working hard here in the studio, painting and tagging and framing until midnight every night, preparing for Artscape at the Dallas Arboretum this weekend. Artscape will open at 9 am Friday, March 16, and end on Sunday at 5 pm. I'll be the gal with the streak of magenta in her hair, through absolutely no fault of my hairdresser. You might be able to guess how that got there... I would love to see you in the gardens this weekend!

I was in the grocery store today looking for fruit to paint (whilst wondering at the same time, am I the only person in Flower Mound who goes to the grocery store looking for things to paint...?) when I heard the radio announcer urge all of us Kroger shoppers to be sure to get our discount tickets to Artscape at the checkout counter To-Day! *sound of harps* Perhaps this was the universe giving me a little rib tickle, since the folks who work at the grocery store find my constant flower purchases there to be supremely odd. I had to fight the urge to say to the checkout gal tonight, see, there is a REASON I spend twice the price I should on flowers right here in the grocery store! It's all about Artscape, art, discount coupons, even your marketing geniuses agree! I am not insane! But instead, when she asked if I needed help out to my car, I just smiled politely and said no thank you.

What a glorious container garden with oh so beautiful varieties of flowers!! I did wonder where you'd gotten to but also expected you'd be busy getting ready for your show. I wish you all the luck with this Arboretum weekend, Nancy!

Beautiful Nancy! I wish I could go to the show, I would love to see all so many of your paintings hanging together. I bet they look like a virtual garden that never fades.
