Garden Iris Painting by Texas Flower Artist Nancy Medina

My iris commission communing with nature today

Today was a busy day in the studio, starting a new container garden for the gallery in Coronado, California, and prepping canvases for three more commissions to come! But I had to take some time away for a fun day in the park. Today was Pugapalooza, the biggest summer fundraiser for pug rescue. AnnieBee posed in a unicorn hat for the puparazzi (evidence below), and we visited with friends and had hamburgers and hotdogs in the shade. It was a perfect day, especially because when we got home, our irises were in full bloom! Here are some photos from the garden today. Enjoy!

Ton charmant carlin m'a fait sourire... Il doit être heureux d'évoluer dans ce beau jardin fleuri...
De belles oeuvres en perspective...
Gros bisous et bonne fin de week-end.

Your painted gardens are as beautiful as the real thing, Nancy! You now have me thinking of painting a garden on the base of the house. What a task that would be for me! I paint slow, hate getting dirty (and let's face it, it would require laying on the ground), and would get frustrated long before it ever was completed! Annie B looks fabulous, dahling...but where are the other three. And I remembered Java this morning! (A little sleep goes a long way for me!)
