Blue Garden Hydrangeas is based on they hydrangeas of the Dallas Arboretum, and is a new large work as I prepare quite a bit of new inventory for the Artscape Show March 16-18 in the gardens. This will be our first year to hold a three day show. I'm crossing my fingers this mild winter won't hurt the chances for a truly spectacular tulip season, like the one we had last year. Mark your calendar and come on out! You can't miss us, the hundred or so white tents under the pecan trees. Just look for the fattest squirrels....

"Do they know how beautiful they are?"

Do you know how special you are that you can paint such beauty?

Oh so beautiful, Nancy! I love all the beautiful colors that turn in the hydrangea petals. I know you will have a marvelous time at the show in March too. I would think the mild winter would be a boon to flowers and plants and trees...but then my once green thumb has turned rather brown.

Nice work Nancy, Hydrangeas can really get out of control with all the detail but you really nailed them. Good luck on the show.
