Store Bought Sunflower is a new small work on the easel, a shift away from the large still life under construction. As I'm painting I'm letting my subconscious work on the name for this new painting. I've always got my ears perked for the perfect flower painting names, and I keep a list of them and update it every time I come up with something that might work. Tulip Tapestry, etc - I seem to favor alliteration. Sometimes it's fun when I photograph these big ones to see what stands out in the photo, that I did not notice with my own eyes. This photograph below seems to be saying "look at the chicken!" up in the left hand corner. At least, that's what I'm drawn to. It could be my odd sense of humor, but do you see the chicken first?

Gorgeous sunflower, Nancy! I must say I had to look for the chicken. My eyes were drawn to that neat geometrical shape right in the center above the painting on your easel. Yes...I am a weirdo and I notice the oddest things.
