Ice Cream Sundae Roses is a new painting in Flower Mound Studio, it was a little holiday project away from the large rooster painting that is under construction. I was in the mood for something lite! As promised, here is another step from the rooster painting I shared with you step by step in my last blog post. This is step three - and I am going to call this one Aperitif. This is a scene straight out of my childhood on the farm. My parents grew giant sunflowers to attract the insects off the vegetable crops. We also raised our own chickens and pigs. Guess whose job it was to feed the pigs? I'll give you one guess...

I love your roses - they are so soft and luscious, but the chickens are stealing my heart. This one is great!

Wonderful title for the white rose painting and indeed it reminds me of a sundae with a delicious caramel accent. The rooster is looking gorgeous and the addition of the sunflower is so inspired and so beautiful!

Trudy that is a great profile picture of you! Have you been out to the Arboretum painting? : )

Bohemian thank you, I love roosters and chickens, they are such funny creatures.
