Pretty Posers Sunflowers is drying on the easel and the studio assistants are in a celebratory mood, as home-made dog cookies are baking in the oven. I'm celebrating a bit, too, since I get to share some great news with you - I'll be teaching a flower painting workshop at the Dallas Arboretum on Saturday, October 8, from 9 am to 3 pm.

We will have limited space in the class, so I hope you will sign up early so we can paint together - I'm planning to share tips on how to create loose, bright florals in oils, for all levels, from beginners on up. The class will be listed on the Dallas Arboretum Web site later, but if you'd like to register early and save a seat, you can call the number listed below. I would love to spend the day with you, so hurry and sign up!

Here's a picture below from my recent trip to Fredericksburg, Texas, where rain has been in short supply, but the folks who live there have planted some beautiful, heat tolerant blossoms - enjoy!

Gorgeous low vase that just makes the sunflowers the star of the show in the piece. Beautiful work! And what are those flowers? They are just beautiful!

Sherry thank you, a friend of mine from Arizona told me what these were, they were all over Scottsdale, too, but now for the life of me I cannot remember! Howie sends kisses....
