Heavenly Blossoms Hydrangeas hopped onto the canvas pretty quickly today, and I have no real explanation for that. I had been wanting to paint white hydrangeas again for quite some time and went flower shopping tonight, for sunflowers. Not a single sunflower was available in the grocery store. But to my delight, one last solitary white hydrangea bundle was saying "Come hither...." and so I hithered on over there and bought the expensive thing!

The helpers are snoozing, evening temperatures are cooling off, and all is well in Flower Mound Studio. How are you surviving the summer? I hope you are not getting the heat we are! These hydrangeas are not fans of the heat, and I'll be interested to see if they are still fresh tomorrow for another modeling session. They were not cheap, and they have to earn their keep!

Gotta love hydrangeas! I have a tree-full if you'd like... It's much cheaper that way. Lovely painting. I don't think you'll have to worry about them earning their keep.

Thank you Sherry! Howie ran through the sprinkler last night and then jumped on the couch. I may have to ship this bad boy to you for a visit. xo

Judy I think you are right, it was the siren song of the expensive flower calling.... ; )
