Upsy Daisy is a new work in Flower Mound Studio, and is based on the new gerbera daisies I purchased at the grocery store this afternoon. I found a bin filled with discount flowers marked "MUST GO" and bunches at $3 each. I had to stock up. Someone had to rescue these unloved, unwanted and rejected blossoms and give them a safe haven in their final days. I brought them home, snipped their stems and gave them all fresh water and food. Tomorrow if the light is good, I'll take lots of photos that will help me with paintings for years to come. Even a little fading blossom can be worth its weight in gold.

I wish I could paint the photos I take. I take so many, I'd never get them all painted!

beautiful, classy colors and a nice composition make this one a real winner!
So very beautiful.. Some day I will paint again. Maybe this winter.. It really gets cold here in Canada and the days are so short with winter so very long.. You have really done it.
I love your works.
