Summer Rose Container Garden is the newest large work drying on the easel in Flower Mound Studio. This is a weekend I wish would never end, the weather has been beautiful and my garden is full of color from the purple morning glories, the red geraniums, and even some late blooming irises. The pugs got a comfy new plush bed today, and they spent some time in the yard chasing the ball and barking at the robins who dared to invade the predetermined boundaries of puggy air space.

I think this time of year pushes me back to those first few days after school was out, when I had the whole summer ahead of me, and an endless number of books to read. I spent entire summer days on the bottom bunk reading when I was in high school. We lived too far from town for there to be activities to walk to, few kids to play with other than my own three sisters, and I was too young for a car until my senior year. I couldn't wait for freedom then, and the time when I would be able to fly away to another place. Now I reminisce about those long summer days and wish they were back.

His highness keeps a keen eye on kitchen related activities
