Market Day Mix Sunflowers and Hydrangeas is the newest painting in Flower Mound Studio, where the heat outdoors has succeeded in keeping the puggies indoors all day today. I am a wimp when it comes to heat, though I love the cold. These are the weeks we hope the plants will survive long enough to come back next year, and watering usually occurs after dark, when the mosquitoes are swarming. It's a tough job, but the flower garden is worth it!

I'm with you, Nancy. I can't stand the heat either. This is a delightful mix of nature! I especially love the hydrangeas, naturally!

As in Farmers Market? Wonderful!

I've watched the weather and man it's hot in Dallas! Maybe you should move someplace a little cooler and find new inspiration for your paintings?

Just saying ; )

Oh my, you are so talented! I have really enjoyed looking through your blog, every painting is so beautiful! I look forward to following your website. I live about 20 min. from Flower Mound so we are close neighbors :). This heat is simply overwhelming. We take our walks in the late evenings now, right at sunset since it would be unbearable to do otherwise. I cope by dreaming of the cool Fall days yet to come. They can't get here soon enough in my opinion! Thank you for the sweet comment on my blog. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Ruth you and the babies have a happy fourth! You know I am a fan of your work!!

Hi Pear Tree Cottage neighbor! I thought you might be pretty close to Flower Mound from your beautiful photos on your blog - we love this area and feel so fortunate to have found it. I'm excited to discover you, thanks to Brenda at Cozy Cottage!
