Free Falling is the newest work in Flower Mound Studio. It's quiet now and the pugs are sleeping. The dinnertime bowls are put away, the toys are forgotten in corners, and there are hours of rest ahead. I've been reminiscing lately about how I felt when I was young. Do you ever do that? Driving home from work today, remembering the first time I drove a car alone at the age of 16, without adult supervision, that feeling of flying, that feeling of freedom. Most of all, there was no sadness or fear, only hope and the joy in knowing I had years ahead and so many wonders yet to experience. I think that's what it will be like at the end. That feeling, again, of release from fear. I'm sorry if I sound silly, but I have been thinking this so much lately. I think I've got a good dose of spring fever!

Free Falling Zinnias and Delphiniums is so beautful Nancy.
Your words made me think,

when the moment is just right
and all that you hear,, is silence,
time takes me back too
to days gone by
and it feels good to remember
those feelings
and at the same time
it feels good to look beyond
and to not be afraid

Such a lovely flower duo! So beautiful with gorgeous spring time life and verve and color! And in all honesty, I probably do more of this than most so I know the feelings, my friend.

Nancy, these lovely Delphinium paintings are going to be finding a home very soon I'm sure.

The two paintings I bought from you hang in my livingroom and are a beautiful inspiration to me every day. I always look at and appreciate them. Thank you for your sweet comments, they mean the world to me coming from you. You are my art rock star. Hugs.
