Blue Muse Sunflowers is drying on the porch this morning, and it's down right chilly here in Flower Mound, Texas. I finished three paintings yesterday, touched up a few that are heading to shows next week, switched some frames and made a trip to the UPS store (where I am told I'm their best customer!).

Blue Muse was started around 10 pm last night and finished at midnight, I painted this one with a large brush and as quickly as possible. Sometimes my paintings feel a bit more fresh if I let my imagination take hold of the brush. Surprisingly, none of the pugs wanted to venture out on the porch with me this morning for the photo session. Usually there is a curly tail, or a snuffley nose finding its way into all my photos. But the chilly weather had them all piled up on their favorite pillow, unwilling to budge after brekkies. Hubby is working today and the chores are all done, maybe I'll join them!

Love the happy, airy blue background on this one Nancy. Reminds me of a beautiful summer day.
