Tool Time Geraniums and a Perfect Saturday

What a perfect Saturday. After getting Anniebelly and Howard's teeth all polished and cleaned at the DFW Pug Rescue no-anesthesia dental event, we dropped off the puggies and went to the nursery! I had a plan - create a painting based on the Some Texas Artists Like to Paint Challenge this month. The topic - tools. My goal - find the perfect setup to paint a little gardening tool! So off we went.

I love Flower Mound Calloways Nursery! Have I mentioned that before?
The nursery was packed. You could see the gleem of excitement
in all the Flower Moundians' beady little eyes! Plants - check!
Knockout Roses - check! Pretty pots - double check!

My new pot, when I first gazed upon its loveliness,
my heart went pitty pat! I knew I had to have it. Even if
it did mean digging for extra pennies at the bottom of my purse!

Despite the blustery day, I managed to pot all
my new geraniums. I didn't even mind a little dirt blowing
around. I can hardly wait to see my new geraniums
grow up to big plants full of blooms! I got peach, red and pink!

Stay tuned, my intuition tells me there will be lots of
new geraniums paintings on this bloggy very soon!

When I first saw the pot, I too had a pitty pat moment. What a gorgeous painting, my friend. Absolutely beautiful! Tell AnnieB and Howie that I am proud of them for their dental hygiene habits. And how come Mr. Java didn't go???

Thank you little Benny and Lilydogs!

It was fun talking with you while I was doing my gardening Sharon. : )

Tweedles, I love planting flowers almost as much as eating jelly donuts! sending a hug to the little poet pug...

Sherry Howie would like to come over and breathe in your face just to show you how minty fresh his breath is. : ) Java has sparkling white teeth - it is the strangest thing ever, his never seem to get dirty!
