Heart's Garden Sunflowers and Plums is the newest still life painting in Flower Mound Studio, as I pack up my favorite paints and brushes for a flight across the country. In a few days, I'll be painting in the garden of the oldest gallery on Coronado Island, in Southern California. Each year is an amazing retreat and delight, in a place where the sun is almost always shining. I will be sharing a photo tour of the garden island with you as soon as I return. With the help of the gallery staff, I was able to find a great room in one of the best hotels on the island! It is such a pleasure to be invited each year to paint during the Flower Festival on the island by Jill, the owner of Art and Frames by Wood Gallery. I hope to see you there.

Nancy, have a wonderful time in CA this weekend at your gallery...I hope it brings you a lot of business.

Thanks for your sweet words of encouragement, they mean so much to me. Your paintings really serve as an inspiration to me, I get to see the two I purchased from you, each day when I walk into my livingroom. They are stunning....I've even had a friend comment on them who generally doesn't notice art, and is not even a garden person....she loves them.

This painting is lovely too, as all yours are. Again good luck and have lots of fun this weekend.

Hugs to you.

Ruth
