Say a Little Prayer Irises

Say a Little Prayer Irises
by Nancy Medina

SOLD

Say a Little Prayer Irises is a new work dedicated not just to those in Japan who are grieving following the devastating earthquake, but also for my mom who went to the ER today for her breathing. Thankfully she was out and on her way home very quickly. When my sisters and I were young, we used to play my mother's favorite song, Say a Little Prayer for You, on her record player. It was a 45, and we played it over and over again. We were so young, and so anxious for tomorrow to come. Now I wish I could freeze time, and keep this year forever, a day when my mom went shopping for begonias after a trip to the doctors, knowing I will see her again very soon.

Ah Nancy, an exquisite painting and such beautiful memories. And a wonderful dedication to those in Japan. A little prayer for all of them and for your mom as well.
