Love Endures Sunflower Field and an Azure Surprise

Love Endures Sunflower Field is drying on the easel today, a beautiful day in Texas with a breeze, a bit of sunshine, and a surprise in my back yard this morning. Four beautiful blue irises had unfurled overnight and shone like jewels in my otherwise dreary winter dried yard. Last year the hubby made me an iris bed with deep soil, and I think that extra time spent on good soil helped these bulbs endure a very cold winter. Right next to these blue irises are the Lemon Whips, so I'm hoping for a gorgeous contrast between the yellow Lemon Whips and these jewel tone azures soon. I promise to share more photos when the lemons make their appearance!

A nice surprise this morning!

Both are lovely -- as always.

Love it when you do landscapes, Nancy. This is another beauty indeed. The blues in the distant trees are magical. The sunflowers standing bright sentry to the grassy field. Just beautiful!

Thank you Laura! I bet your photos of the irises would have been much better than mine! :)

Good morning Sherry, thank you lady! Howie sends you pughugs....
