Detail from Queen of the Night Tulips

The Queen of the Night tulips at the Dallas Arboretum lasted only a few days last spring. I am tempted to call their gardening hotline just to find out if they will be planting beds of these beauties again this year during my show on the grounds there March 18-20!

There were dozens of varieties of tulips on display at the Dallas Blooms Festival during Artscape at the Arboretum last spring. You can see some of these along with the azeleas, cannas, petunias and other flowers on my Art Blog. You might want to wear comfy shoes for the tour, like most things in Texas, the Arboretum is pretty big.
