Sunfire Sunflower

Sunfire Sunflower by Nancy Medina

Sunfire Sunflower is a new small work closing out another day of painting at Flower Mound Studio. I find sometimes after focusing for hours on a large project or commission, right before it's time to put the brushes away, there is one more little painting asking to come out. Sunfire was the last minute burst of color after hours of work on a magnolia I'm creating in cool sea greens and bright lavenders. The other side of the palette wanted a turn, it seems!

The little Sunfire Sunflower is so happy that you did not put your brush away.
She is happy you painted her face for the world to see.
We are happy too.
