Wherefore Art Thou, Inspiration?

What's cookin in the studio today....

We pushed through until midnight in the studio, AnnieBee and I, until long after all of her brothers had gone to bed. Annie knew something intriguing was happening, and she wasn't about to miss it. After the witnesses had departed the scene, she was rewarded for her patience with a sampling from my still life setup - a juicy strawberry. I'm not sure if it's true that girls are smarter than boys, but I do know one little girl whose nose is a bit wiser than her brothers'!

Yesterday the sun gave me some beautiful images of morning glories from my back yard. I have one morning glory plant that is growing with leaves so large it must be some sort of hybrid. The flowers are deep, purple-blue with red stripes.

My back yard blossoms

This was one of the deep blue morning glories

The leaves were huge!

And my favorite, cornflower blue blossoms!
