Miniature Rose Bouquet

I have a new commission painting on the easel in Flower Mound Studio this week for a family in Tennessee. This new work is a 30X24 gallery wrap medley of irises, sunflowers, red geraniums and white pansies. I'll share images as this Tennessee garden grows and the pots fill out with blossoms.

In the meantime, we are enjoying some cool rainy weather thanks to Hurricane Hermine's effects up from the Texas Gulf Coast. What a change from weeks of 100 degree heat! The paint is drying a bit slower as a result, but I am not complaining. Thanks to everyone who left admiring comments for my handsome boy, Howard, who celebrated his birthday this week. I am almost embarrassed to admit, I had intended that post to go on his pug blog and accidentally put it on my art blog, instead.

Another beauty! Can't wait to see the big commission as it progresses, too! Glad your weather is cooling off for you, tho hope the storms don't get too near! yikes! We had a near miss last week with 'Earl'. For all the beautiful summer we had up here, I think we're gonna be payin' our dues this winter....farmers almanac says it's gonna be like a 'slap in the face'? Are they kidding? A couple of big snow storms & it's like a TKO for me! :-O

But I always love hearing about our handsome Howie! Happy birthday, lover boy!

This is another gorgeous proliferation of prettiness, Nancy. That vase...you always make it look as though it glows from within. Beautiful!
