Market Day Flower Garden

Market Day Flower Garden by Nancy Medina

Market Day is a study for a larger work to come - I really enjoyed painting this flower market, and wish we had more near Dallas. This one is based on our visit to Santa Monica Farmer's Market a few months ago, but the umbrellas were thrown in from my imagination.

Here is a picture of some of the larger, more whimsical works in the studio this week. I am thinking of converting the painting on the easel to a complete sunflower garden, what do you think? Lose the morning glories on the left and replace them with sunflowers?

A large painting in progress!

I'm sure you know what I think! Can't have too many sunflowers! Market Day is lovely!

Beautiful paintings Nancy!! I actually like the morning glories and sunflowers in the one that you're working on. But whatever you decide to do will be wonderful! :)

Thank you Becky, I put my thinking cap on and immediately knew what you were thinking, too! ; )

Angela I woke up this morning and my morning glories in the yard were blooming like crazy - perhaps that was a sign? : )

Well, we had a beautiful vase of sunflowers on the alter at church this morning and I thought of you and your lovely paintings! Whatever you do, I know it will be fabulous!
