The brightest thing in the mailbox this afternoon was my annual catalog from Wildseed Farms. I love reading the catalog almost as much as visiting this exotic garden and seed store in the Texas Hill Country. I got out my trusty scissors and cut out pictures of my favs for you. Thanks to a little Elmer's they're pasted below!

This week's bloom update: grey striped sunflowers! And check out the dynamite crepe myrtles. There are butterfly garden strolls and verbena and every hardy plant guaranteed to attract the happy insects to your garden. The best news of all, it's all for sale online... Let's go shopping!

The catalog arrived today - w00t!

I had no idea there was such a sunflower, did you?

Wow, I love this. Very paintable!

Your flower paintings are always beautiful Nancy, but my definite favourites are the landscapes. This is stunning!!

By the way, am reading a book by Mark Ginemez called The Perk about Fredericksburg - is that where you come from?

Oh such a glorious painting, Nancy! I love the close up focus on the left and the more blurred distant flowers.

Crepe myrtle is beautiful!

Thanks Liz! I am not from there but visit often to deliver work to The Good Art Company gallery there. I'll look up the book - I wonder if it's about the German settlement there?

Thank you Miss Sherry! I appreciate you!
