Lemon Parfait Bouquet is my response to Dana Marie's art challenge based on Van Gogh's "Still Life Pitcher With Lemons" - you can see I took a bit of artistic license.... I love happy accidents, the little accent on my leaf shrouded lemon in the lower right hand corner of the painting was just such an accident - a bit of shadow points the eye upward to the stars of the show, the irises.

I am amazed each time I visit your blog. Your paintings are amazing! I love the detail and the way you make them look like I'm walking through my own back yard garden. You catch a bit of everyday life in your creations. Beautiful!

Wow, your set up is fantastic!!!! I think Irisis are out of season here at the moment, otherwise you've just tempted me to go buy some! What a beautiful painting.
