I love painting on gallery wrap canvas, it adds a bit of fun and whimsy to what sometimes can be too serious a pursuit here in Flower Mound Studio. You can see how the gallery wrap edges look in the photo on my paint spattered work easel below. These small gallery wraps look beautiful on kitchen counters and can add a bit of unexpected color on bookshelves or windowsills.

I delivered a huge sheet of canvas to a gallery in Dallas this weekend to create a special gallery wrap for a client in Montreal, Canada. The client has ordered a poppy and sunflower painting for her dining room. The painting will stretch four feet wide and measure 22 inches tall, with that nice fat edge extending the painting in a 3-D effect. I'm so excited to get started, I think the scale and bright colors are going to make for a unique painting. I promise to share it with you as soon as it is done!

Gallery wrap is fun!

You just leave me awed, Nancy. Your enthusiasm and energy come through in each painting, in each blog entry, and definitely in each photo. Those clients will be so pleased and I can't wait to see their piece as well. These geraniums are just so uplifting!
