Shadow Lilies, Cannas, is based on my latest grocery store acquisition, a lovely bunch of deep purple and white canna lilies. In case you are wondering, yes, I did hear a bit of snickering as I approached the checkout again with a cart full of flowers, cookies, and magazines, instead of items normal people would buy. After all, I couldn't pass up a bunch of white gardenias, yellow centered sunflowers at 3 bundles for $10, and the lovely green ferns to back up all these blossoms.

Perhaps it is time I simply admit it. My name is Nancy, and I am a flower junkie.
