Inspiration for Daisy Daze

I was doing a quick photo shoot last week on one of our hot summer days in Dallas and was struck by the beauty of this fallen daisy and its graceful pose. Sometimes imperfection is more striking than perfection, or maybe it just felt more true to nature. This may have been the fini for this little flower's blooms, but its image will appear in many more paintings to come at Flower Mound Studio. I'm off for a trip this weekend to paint with friends. Wherever you may be, I hope you have some fun plans ahead for the weekend!

Have a great time, Nancy! The weekend plans sound simply divine. Love this painting...maybe it is wishful thinking on my part, but it just seems to autumnal, full of bounty and beauty and fruits of labors to me. Beautiful!
