Baby Blues Iris is a tribute to the loveliest blue flowers that are done for the season in my back yard garden. While the sunflowers are making their debut, I have to confess I miss the deep royal blue irises and wish they would stay longer. We've laid down sacks of new top soil over the green shoots that are left of the irises. I read once that you should spend a pound on soil and a penny on seeds when it comes to having a proper flower garden. Maybe next year they'll bloom longer. One can hope!
