A Little Glad With Sunflowers is a fun little painting that helped me sneak up sideways to a larger glad painting in progress on the easel this evening. These red glads and some of their white glad cousins caught my eye in the grocery store yesterday (Yes, yes, I'm the one of those crazy ladies who spends oodles of money in the grocery store flower shop every week...).

When the painting was done, I took the new work of art into the garden to pose it in its natural state, all the while imagining some romantic husband presenting his wife with a bouquet of gorgeous romantic red glads wrapped in white paper, with this little painting attached by a red satin bow.

Great painting, Nancy! Sunflowers are such a wonderful subject. Always reminds me of van Gogh and his paintings.

What a lovely way to "pose" a painting, Nancy! I can only repeat the remark I put on Fb: Summer, summerer, summerest!!! (Boy, this Google spell check is throwing a tantrum here! It says there are no such words in the English language!)

Gorgeous, Nancy! I always love when you post photos of the paintings embedded in your gorgeous yard/garden. This one reminds of the wreath of flowers put around the horse's neck when he wins a big race. "Winners Circle!" Really gorgeous composition!

beautiful - the different shades of red are not easy to come by/mixing with paint, so I really appreciate this!
