Fredericksburg Pansies is drying on the easel this afternoon. It's been a whirlwind day in Flower Mound Studio, with two new works finished, two crepe myrtle trees planted, and the requisite playtime with the assistants sprinkled liberally in between. There is always a little tinge of sadness when the weekend ends, and all the things I had planned to finish but did not, line up for a little parade in my conscience on Sunday evening. I think I will wash the brushes early tonight, instead of pushing through until midnight. After all, there is a big glass of iced tea with mint calling my name and maybe even a bowl of Dutch chocolate Blue Belle ice cream...!

Dearest Nancy
Yes, it is always sad to see the weekend end, and to know all the extra play times with our puggys has come to an end. But that glass of tea is waiting for you and some nice ice cream.
It is getting late, and as my evening comes to a close, I want to sit for awhile and stare at your awsome panies and then take a stroll through your other art work, and memorize the beauty and that will help us make it through the day tomorrow.
yes,,,, it will

The day you describe here sounds ideal, with the treat of ice tea with mint, and some ice cream toward the end of the day.

Dear Nancy, I've been spending a lovely time going back through your posts - no computer for nearly two weeks! Your paintings are always so joyful and full of life - these pansies just say it all. And of course, got an eyeful of your gorgeous landscapes! Dear Puddin Pug - a precious little face - and you are special for doing what you do for them.

Gorgeous pansies here, Nancy! I always love the close ups you do. I must say that I thought you were going to spend Sunday doing nothing but relaxing??? Still, it does sound like it was a wonderful day and I do hope that you enjoyed that ice cream!!
