I painted Celebration Sunflowers in a bit of a jubilant mood this evening after learning today that I am one of the top two finalists in the voting for favorites in the Bold Brush Painting Competition for June 30. It's quite an honor to find myself in the top row of the contest, along with some amazing artists like Gladys Roldan-de-Moras and Daniel Keyes. This is my first time to enter the contest, so I'm not quite sure what happens next, or if the voting continues all month. And this part of the contest is not the juried competition, which comes later. The Favs competition is similar to a people's choice voting event, with friends logging in and selecting the "thumbs up" button on my behalf.

I've been neck and neck all day with the number two painting, so I'm anxious to see the stats in the morning to see if what happens!
