The Sweetest Days is a new sunflower painting saluting the lovely spring breezes that were replaced today by 90 degree temperatures in Dallas. This Sunday is Mother's Day, and we'll be driving Mom out to Red Lobster for cheese biscuits and all you can eat crab legs, one of her favorites. The lines will be long, the place will be packed, but every moment will be fun because I am blessed with a family that loves laughter.

I hope you have a special Sunday planned, whether you are a mom or have one you will be cherishing, either in person or in memory.

Speaking of cherish, one of my dear friends, Melissa Langer, was in San Diego a week ago and stopped by Art and Frames by Wood Gallery to see my artwork. She is the creator and founder of the famous Pugnotes line. Melissa and her twin sister, Melanie, were in town for the giant pug party and pug extravaganza by San Diego Pug Rescue. She left her number one studio assistant Emmitt the Pug home with his dad for this trip. Emmitt is quite the singer, so I imagine he had a few new tunes to yodel when his mom got home from her gala pug party trip.

You sure are making it tough to pick a favorite sunflower painting if I ever am able to afford one. Golly gee they are all gorgeous! My next fav is the irises.

The light you've captured on the purple flowers is just magnificent, Nancy. You always bring a sweet breath of spring and fresh air into this stodgy computer room o'mine.

This is another beautiful piece.
Now which one is for mothers day?
Enjoy the day with your Momma, I hope that the line is not too long in this heat.
Happy Mothers day to all the mothers in your family.
