Sunlit Shadows is the newest sunflower blooming at Flower Mound Art Studio. My pots of sunflowers are filled with sprouts this week, so hopes are high for a yard full of sunflowers this summer. One of the other passions when I'm not in the studio making sunflowers out of oil is working with pug rescue. Dallas Fort Worth Pug Rescue is now the largest pug rescue in the nation, and we take in five to 10 pugs a week. This new video was launched yesterday in honor of the precious pugs and in hopes it will help us to spread the word.

Wow is that beautiful! So pretty!
Aunt Nancy, next Saturday I am going to Seattle- 4 hours away, to see Auntie Melissa and Auntie Melanie and there will be a big pug rescue party. I hope there will be a sister there for me to bring home. Will you keep your fingers crossed? We went to a rescue in Portland- but they don't let you take a puggy home. Whats the deal? Will you mail me a sister from your rescue?

The sunflower is just beautiful, Nancy. A smile inducing painting today, so thank you for that. The fact that so many animals need rescuing is just a plight that breaks my heart. I can't understand neglect or abuse of animals, ever...
