These little sunflower peepers are drying on the easel in the studio, and we're in a celebratory mood this evening. Tomorrow I am off work, and have all sorts of fun plans, including painting time in the studio with the assistants. Two four-foot container garden paintings will ship to Coronado, California, and then I'll start a new one for the Dutch Art Gallery in Dallas.

I got this picture of AnnieBee a few months ago when she discovered my hidden stash of "good" pillows in an unlikely place. Whatever you have planned for this weekend, I hope you have a wonderful time with family and friends and little four footed companions to help you make interesting discoveries around the house.

All of these perfectly good pillows in a closet -
what will those silly humans think of next?

You did it again! More gorgeous sunflowers! Annie is so snuggly cute on those pillows. Pugs do the darndest things, don't they? They just want to be comfy like us!

It must be summer there! Gorgeous sunflowers are out - and I agree with Annie - what a waste of pillows!

Lovely work, Nancy and congratulations with your busy schedule. By the way: is there a dry unpainted place to lean a hand or put down a cup of coffee? Ah, dear AnnieBee, happiness is a pink quilt!

Love the sunflowers, especially the addition of the orange...daisies are those? Baby sunflowers? Just add an additional element of depth and light to this gorgeous painting, Nancy. I love photos of your puggle babies. Especially when they enjoy the sublime. Thank you too for letting me know how your aunt and your mom liked the painting of their dad. It meant so much to me to do it, truly.
