Pansy Paparazzi

Pansy Paparazzi by Nancy Medina

I finished a couple of pansy paintings this evening, a large one for a client commission and this small study, Pansy Paparazzi, for the Daily Painters Gallery. I love painting pansies, almost as much as I love painting sunflowers. There is something so cheerful about their colorful tiny faces.

When I am not painting I spend some time as a volunteer for Dallas Fort Worth Pug Rescue. We launched our new Web site yesterday, and I wanted to share it with you. I hope if you have an opportunity, you will support, donate, adopt or volunteer for your favorite animal rescue.

Poppies speak to me of peace and sacrifice pansies just smile with their cheeky little faces. Lovely painting.

The comment from M is really me, for some reason my daughter was logged into my blog and I wondered who M was after I posted my comment. Oops!! She loves your work and pugs as well!

TweedleyPug, Mitzu is the rescue pug in the photo - she is loved and spoiled by her family and has many uber cute outfits!

Thank you Ralph, you are right, there is something innately cheerful about pansy faces!

Sherry thank you, I think you have hit upon something, pansies and pugs are both round and always happy! : )

Thank you M, and Becky that makes me laugh that M commented too!!

Irit, sending you warm hugs from humid, overcast Dallas today! xox

Lovely Nancy! Paparazzi? With such an output of work, naming them becomes a problem, I'm sure!
