Indian Paintbrush is based on the wildflower fields of Willow City Loop near Llano, Texas. We took a scenic drive around the Loop on our way home from Fredericksburg, Texas, this weekend after delivering art to The Good Art Company Gallery. The flowers are still in full bloom in the Texas Hill Country, with even some late Bluebonnets in the mix of blackeyed susans, Indian paintbrush, Indian blanket, and wild white poppies. The fields were an amazing array of colors, like God's own palette, bringing to mind the Painted Buntings that are visiting my mother's farm in East Texas again this spring.

AnnieBee made the trip with us to Fredericksburg, and gave her approval to the wonderful little bed and breakfast where we stayed. I'm looking forward to spending time with the lady I love most in the whole world today, my Mom. Happy Mother's Day to all you mom's out there, even if your kids are just the four footed cuties like mine!

The Cottage where we stayed was behind the main house. I could not resist
taking a picture of the main residence, it was so grand.
Check out the porch with wicker chairs and a wicker swing.

The antique bed had beautiful quilts from one of my
favorite quilt stores downtown. Hmmmm, maybe it's
time for a remodel at home with blue and yellow??

Every bit of the Cottage was charming, I loved this big soft couch
and all the beautiful blue china and matching cushions.

Annie enjoyed checking out the yard that wrapped around
the property. She always makes the trip fun.
