End of Bloom is another recent Texas Landscape drying on the easel and marking the end of bluebonnet season in Texas. I love how the colors of the flower deepen into magenta and purple as they mature. All the while I am busy painting, my assistants are always nearby, supervising. You can see two of them, Annie and Howie, in action in the photo below. They get one break every four minutes, according to the puggy labor law I am required to abide by.

Very pretty! The pugs are adorable. None of my dogs ever sleep like that. Love that photo!

The painting looks like a double dip of creamy blueberry ice cream. Yum! No wonder it is sold!

Adorable spoonin' picture!

Love this one! The colors are rich and inviting. I really enjoyed the bluebonnets this year. Took a drive out to Bellville and Round Top with some girlfriends a few weeks ago, and the fields of wildflowers were stunning!

Your studio assistants are so entertaining! So funny!

Howie and Annie are so precious! She sleeps in as undignified manner as my Tessa, showing her underside to all the world. LOL

This painting is just stunning, Nancy. I think a new favorite for me. The wildflowers, the fading light of the day to go along with the end of the bluebonnet season. Just all comes together beautifully.

Becky pugs are famous snugglers. This morning I caught Howie snuggled up with Java!

Gracias Joe!!!

Laura, thank you my friend.

Elizabeth, love the food analogy!

Becky something tells me you are going to make beautiful art out of the flowers from Bellville. : )

Thank you so much Miss Sherry. Howie said to tell you he was dreaming of you, and it was just accidental he was snuggling AnnieBee instead. : ) xoxo

I've been catching up on your blog posts and things look great!! The new gallery is very nice...lots of luck with it. And the pugs seem quite content...adorable. It is sad when the bluebonnets fade, but down here it has turned to yellow..with gallardias and black-eyed susans and buttercups with splashes of red and pink everywhere. I just hope we down fast-forward into summer and dry spells. Keep up the great work and tell the pugs that Pokey and TacoBelle said Hi!
