East Texas Bluebonnets

Bluebonnet Dusk by Nancy Medina

SOLD

A few miles from the organic farm where I grew up is a little town called Kemp, Texas. Every spring along Highway 175 some of the most lush bluebonnet fields in East Texas line the highways and meadows near this community.

The photos below were taken two years ago in Kemp when my husband and I and our pug Winnifred Wigglepants were on our way home from a visit to friends in Tyler, Texas. Winnie Wiggles was my heart and my love, my little velcro pug. She lost her battle with GME encephalitis 6 months later, but her memory will never fade.

Nancy I am so sorry. Our pets are family members and it's very difficult to loose a pet. My heart goes out to you. Your paintings are so beautiful, they come from the beautiful person you are. All the best to you.

Nancy! You were a blond? Winnie is gorgeous and I am so sorry for your loss. I know you've spoken of her before and that the love hasn't lessened any. I just read a blog by another lady who apparently has two Pug puppies, one of which had to have hip surgery...hip replacement?... Anyway, they are driving her nuts! LOL I recommended she see you for Pug advice.

Love the field of bluebonnets and your landscape is just gorgeous!

Thank you for your kind thoughts Joan.

Becky I had a feeling you would like those bluebonnets and the little jiggley wiggley too. : ) hug your little one for me!

Sherry thank you - Howie is wondering if you have any leftovers you can mail to him? : ) It sounds like that lady with 2 pug puppies has her paws full.

Melissa, thank you - please give Emmitt-Pants big hugs for me!!

Thank you Marie, I was hoping to infuse some light into it, but landscapes are not my specialty as they are yours! many hugs from across the miles...
