Bluebonnet Sunset is based on the state flower of Texas, which is reaching the end of its season here. I am sad to see these beautiful blue fields go, but I can't complain since we had a great bloom this year thanks to the winter rains. They were at their peak while I was at my solo show in Coronado, CA, 2 weeks ago, so I didn't get as many photos as I had hoped. You can see a photo of my best helper below. This little guy cannot sleep unless he is in my arms, so I suspect he was anxious to commence with the unpacking!

Howard assists with unpacking.

Ohhhhhhhhh...Look at my Howie P. Pugglepants!!! Oh he can come sleep in my arms anytime!

I must say that this painting is a new favorite, Nancy. I always love landscapes and one that includes wildflowers and trees just sends it over the top.

What a striking painting! Its so lovely. The color palette is just delicious and the texture frothy! Yum!

You should consider doing this one really big!

Thank you TweedleyPug, I think you are right, Howie did not want me to get out of that suitcase. xoxo

Thank you Karine, wonderful newsletter lady!

Sherry, Howie has been trying to write you a letter but he is so easily distracted by breakfast, birds flying over his air space, and naps...
xoxo

Susan, that is a great idea. I will try this out on a larger linen board and see what happens. *crossing fingers*

Oh my goodness, I could live in your paintings. They are so beautiful! You are certainly a very gifted artist. I just happened to find your blog today. I am coming back more often to see more beautiful art. Oh and your doggies are so cute!

I watercolor some, but am teaching myself and ofcourse still learning. I love watching artists do their thing and hopefully I can pick up a tip or two along the way. I wouldn't begin to know how to oil paint.

LeeAnn it is great to meet you! I started painting in watercolor and love the medium, but then moved to oils. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing you become famous! : )
