Fly Away is a painting of two of my favorite flowers, geraniums and pansies. This little painting languished in a corner of my studio for months, needing a facelift. I blotted out the purple hydrangeas and pepped up the reds, I embellished the yellow pansies and dabbed in some warm violet shadows and now it feels like the little flower grouping is finally ready for the ball. Let's just hope they remember to make it home before midnight when their carriage will turn into a pumpkin.
Wherever you are, bring your critters indoors and bundle up and stay warm this winter eve. I'll be drinking mocha coffee tomorrow morning with whipped creme on top and thinking of what to paint next.

Hola, Nancy. Your pansies and geraniums look like they've had a big cup of Miracle-Gro. Super, Enjoy your mocha..I'll stick to Community cajun. Oh...on what to paint next? A little bird from WTTW would look cozy nestled in pansies. :-)
A lovely potted garden, Nancy! Just coffee for me this morning.
Hi James, I will have to check out that challenge. It sounds like my cup o' tea!!! hug your pups for me...
