I had a laugh checking email yesterday when I received this photo of an adorable Dallas Dachshund. My aunt Bitsy is dogsitting Diva Ruby and her brother this week, and captured this image of this lovely Doxie in faux fur last week. The only thing missing from the picture is a 34-carat pink diamond ring (and maybe a tiara). I imagine Ruby's family may be surprised when they see her wardrobe upgrade after returning home this weekend. You might recognize her, in addition to being pursued by the pupparazi, this lovely lady has had her portrait done with her brother Rocky last year.

Oh what extra special little dogs! Beautiful peonies and wonderful portrait Nancy.
Gosh Nancy! Is there any subject you can't handle with those magic paintbrushes of your's? The peonies are magical but I must say that those Doxies are even moreso! I love the expression on the face in the photo. Methinks she looks a tad haughty! Did Aunt Bitsy see Poppy? I hope she liked it!
hi nancy!
oh i love the painting and the photo! you can tell she is loving every moment!

Nancy, so funny! Diva Ruby is going to need those warm clothes if what I hear is correct. Snow in Dallas?
Lovely Peonies. I have been looking forward to mine blooming in the "coming warm days".
Hi Nancy, thank you for some very nice remarks in your e-mail and on my blogsite! I answered your query about the San by diverting you to the site of another blogger until I have done my paintings! Hope you had a lovely birthday.
Nancy, your florals never cease to amaze me...and now your dog portraits do as well!
I love dachshunds! What an adorable photo and an excellent painting.
Thank you so much Liz - enjoy your sunshine - we are having snow today!
Sherry, thank you, Aunt Bitsy cried when she saw the portrait you painted of Poppy. I can't wait to bring it to the family reunion!
Melissa, Annie Bee wore her new sweater from you in the snow today, fits her perfect and she was so cute! xoxox
Peggy, I hope you will be painting those peonies, I can't wait to see what you create!
Hi Marie, thanks for the birthday wishes today, I will take a peek at your blog! xox
Thank you Ann! these little doxies were so fun to paint, they have such big personalities...
Thank you Megan - I love them too, especially the way they run and their little legs look like catterpillars! : )
