The large painting that has been leaning accusingly against the shelf half-finished all week was finally completed this morning. I'm not quite sure why some paintings become absolute wrestling matches while others just hop on to the canvas as if to say, "well, what were you waiting for?" Farmer's Market Flower Garden will be on display in one of my upcoming shows. It's hard to believe it's less than a week away to my solo show in Fredericksburg at The Good Art Company. Drop by March 5 for Friday night artwalk from 5 to 8 pm - I'd love to meet you!

The only sad thing about the trip to Fredericksburg is this will be the first time Annie will not be able to join us. Juggling an art show and a pug at the same time would be a bit of a challenge, even though Annie insists she is extremely low maintenance.

If it wasn't so far I'd definitely drop by to see your gorgeous work! Poor Annie.... send her to me so she can hang with Otis!!

Gosh Nancy. Somehow you make even the dying heads of the flowers on the ground look beautiful and they just greatly enhance the liveliness of the potted flowers. Did that make sense? For some reason, those wilting flower heads just grab my attention here. Poor AnnieBelly looks so sad in her photo. Methinks she knows something is afoot! Please do tell Howie that I said it is ok to comfort Annie while you are away.

This market scene is amazing, Nancy! Nice to see such a large painting. I hope you have a lovely show!

Manon I wish you could come. Howie said he will fedex Annie to Otis right away. : )

Sherry I think you are right, Annie sense the house is in disarray and the suitcases are out. I"m sure Howie will take good care of her while we're gone. They were napping together this morning.

Thank you Marie, I appreciate the good wishes! The great thing about the show is it is in such a lovely town, just visiting there is a really cool thing all by itself.

These flowers really cheer me up. You paint them so beautifully.
I have painted them before and even painted them on porcelain.
